As a value-added distributor, the Comstor team is all about customer experience. They deliver this exceptional experience through programs designed to ease the process of onboarding, by creating training on new product lines or solutions, and by helping identify the right certifications and facilitate finding programs for certification. 

This week, we sat down with Ryan Gies, Business Development for Cisco Enterprise Networking for Westcon-Comstor Americas. 

Ryan started out as an Account Manager and was very interested in working with partners focused on the EDGE program. He wanted to help them grow their business, specifically as it relates to Cisco’s Enterprise Networking solutions. Ryan tells us that he is “results-driven” and so his focus is on helping each partner be successful. Here is more insight on Ryan:

How did you get started in this field and what excites you most about what you do?

I started as an Account Manager and was very interested in working with a select subset of partners focused on our EDGE program and help them grow their business. I accepted a role on our Business Development Team focused on Enterprise Networking and our EDGE program to enroll partners and help them grow their business. 

Tell us about your role at Comstor and how you help partners?

As a Business Development rep here at Comstor, we focus on the EDGE program and helping our partners grow their status with Cisco from Registered all the way up to Gold.  We have four different programs focused on each architecture Cisco offers. In these programs the partners will learn about rebates, certifications and specializations, VIP/OIP discounting, and much more. 

What advice do you have for partners that are looking to get started with Cisco today?

Cisco is a world leader in the technology industry providing a wide range of products and services to power and secure your network. At Comstor we offer all the resources you will need to sell Cisco and grow your business.
