This week, we sat down with Ezequiel Rios, Comstor Business Development for Cisco Meraki. Ezequiel is passionate about working with small-business owners and helping them make data-driven decisions that will take their businesses to the next level. “I’m a numbers-driven person, and I very much enjoy customer interactions,” he told us. That’s what makes him such a valuable part of the Comstor team.
How did you get started in this field and what excites you most about what you do?
I went to school for economics and always liked making data-driven decisions and designing trainings. When I saw an opportunity to become a Cisco Business developer for Comstor, I was beyond excited. The part of the job that excites me the most is when I get to work with passionate small-business owners, and you can truly see the impact your advice and guidance has on taking their businesses to the next level.
Tell us about your role at Comstor and how you help partners.
My role is to simplify the Cisco world for our partners while ensuring that we maximize all the available discounts and rebates to make their practices as profitable as possible. The other aspect of my role is to be the expert for all things Meraki, providing training for sales and engineers and creating relevant content and programs that will incentivize the growth of the product.
What advice do you have for partners who are looking to get started with Cisco today?
We know starting with such a huge vendor can be challenging, but please leverage Comstor as a partner. Don’t go at it alone – we have the tools in place and have been working with Cisco for more than 20 years. We can have a discussion about where you would like to go with your Cisco business and partnership, and we will help you map it out and make it attainable in your desired timeframe.
